Humans have a long history of people taking inspiration (or stealing ideas) from others, and without it, we wouldn’t be anywhere near as advanced as we are today. More specifically, when it comes to design, whether it be fashion, graphic or interior, it’s an industry standard to keep up to date with trends, but how do we know when we’ve crossed the line from being with-the-times to blatantly copying someone else’s work? Is it based on how many people are already using your idea?
There are so many questions around IP already, that it’s not surprising the speed of technological advancement (AI in particular) has left people feeling a bit lost.
